Dear Reader

Dear Reader,

Happy one year anniversary! Can you believe it’s already been so long? It seems like only yesterday that we introduced ourselves, perhaps a little shyly, at first. You were gazing at me inquisitively and I opened up to you about my hopes and ambitions. We talked for hours and discovered that we had so much in common.

Oh, we’ve had some good times this year, Reader. We laughed, we traveled, we contemplated, and we learned together. We’ve looked at beautiful sights, and we’ve met new people. We even got political.

I feel like we’ve really gotten to know each other during this time. I showed you some of my different interests and you rewarded me with your curiosity and your affection. And you’ve helped me improve myself.

But, Reader, we still have so much ahead of us. I want to learn about you: what drives you, what inspires you, what fills your free time. What do you think about and dream of?
I don’t know what surprises the next year will have in store for us—that’s for us to find out in time. But I want to thank you for being by my side for all this time and for all your kind words.
