The New Ballet Company knows Swan Lake –the jewel of the classical ballet repertoire—is the best gift for your mom. Dancing to Tchaikovsky’s score as performed by the Palo Alto Philharmonic and conducted by Thomas Shoebotham, this will be a beautifully enriched Mother’s Day celebration. “Swan Lake—a dramatic and sweeping story of love and betrayal—is a special ballet, one that will appeal to today’s family audiences as a perfect introduction to ballet,” says Dalia Rawson, a well-known ballerina and currently the executive director of The New Ballet. It’s never too early to introduce your youngsters to “My Very First Ballet: Swan Lake,” a performance for children, designed for a pre-school audience and their families.
