San Francisco Symphony Pays Tribute to the Beatles at Davies Symphony Hall
July 18, 2024, at 7:30pm
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah… Don’t miss this special tribute to one of the world’s greatest pop bands! You will love the San Francisco Symphony’s celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ first US tour in 1964 and their first concert at San Francisco’s Cow Palace sixty years ago, as the British Invasion took off, propelled by four lads and a legion of screaming admirers.
Now, relive or get acquainted with the magic of the Beatles’ greatest hits, transcribed note-for-note and performed as originally recorded, with four musicians who look and sound just like the original Fab Four! This show opens with the band performing the set played by the Beatles on their first North American tour with the program featuring favorites from the albums Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The White Album, Abbey Road, and Let It Be, performed alongside the San Francisco Symphony.
And what is your favorite Beatles song? “Michelle” is mine…

August Concerts at Filoli Estate – A Summer’s Cultural Enrichment
6:30 to 8 p.m.
The vibrant live performances take stage against the backdrop of the stunning Historic House of Filoli. As the sun sets behind the Santa Cruz mountains, relax in the Meadow with a drink in hand and enjoy the variety of performers coming to the Woodside’s famous estate this summer.
Enjoy complimentary wine, beer, canned cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks throughout the evening. No need to bring a chair – every VIP guest has access to a comfy adirondack with a great view of the stage.
VIP tickets (which I highly recommend) include admission to the performance and the VIP area. The scheduled performers include: “Never Come Down” bluegrass band; the Indian American singer/songwriter Paravi; the “Jazz and Swing Night” with Alex Mendham & His Orchestra; “The Outlaw Mariachi” with Charros of Rock blending the traditional mariachi sounds with the high powered energy of American and Latin rock; “Wreckless Strangers” who incorporate blues, R&B, Americana, and good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll to craft a distinctive sound and perfect balance between unique, familiar, and just plain fun; the “Latin Jazz Night with Trio Paz”, known for their musical mix of Flamenco Rumba, Latin, and Brazilian, crafted into a blend of moods that will channel the energy of Filoli into an electrifying performance.
Summer is time to have fun, so just do it and enjoy!
