Alluring Grand Celebrations of Mother’s Day
Founded in 1908 by Anna Jarvis of Philadelphia, Mother’s Day was given federal recog-nition in a signed proclamation in 1914 by President Woodrow Wilson announcing Moth-er’s Day as a national holiday that was to be celebrated on the second Sunday in May – a date that holds true to this year’s day of May 12 and is honoring motherhood and family life throughout the United States. Whether you plan to send flowers (and the most popular flowers to give for Mother’s Day are carnations, followed by roses, hydrangeas, sunflow-ers and tulips) they will symbolize your sign of love, appreciation and beauty.
One thing is for sure: your Mama deserves the best and with the creative and delicious assistance of the Bay Area Grand Hotels her dream and yours will come true.

P.S. From my personal experience: if you plan to travel next year to England, where they celebrate Mother’s Day on March 30, 2025, enjoy an absolute must! Afternoon Tea Experience in the stunning town of Bath’s at “The Pump Room” located in the historical Roman Bath Spa. Its beautiful surroundings and delicious treats will make it an extra special memorable celebration for your Mom. A train ride from London will get you there…. (but plan in advance!)
