Tucker is the dealer

I stopped watching Tucker Carlson for good on November 5, 2019. The same guy who was the loudest voice on election interference suddenly executed a complete 180 and started “just asking questions” about how Trump sucks. Literal overnight. That wasn’t journalism — that was a rat running from the sinking ship and helping to sink it as he might feast on the ruins.

Now he’s claiming Pompeo, Huckabee, and Rubio are “possessed by witchcraft.” He stopped just short of saying the witches (yes, the Jews — he names them) suck the blood of Christian babies. Give it a week; the full medieval remix is coming.

For context, here’s Tucker’s Greatest Flip-Flop on Iran:

Six months ago: “If there is evidence that Iran paid hit men to take out Donald Trump, we should be nuking the Ayatollah right now.”

Yesterday: A Pakistani man just told an undercover FBI agent he was plotting with the Iranian government to assassinate Donald Trump.

But Tucker is not there to answer questions.

Tucker isn’t in the journalism business — that’s for people who deal in facts. He’s in the popularity business — pure emotions, built on made-up sensationalism. And there’s a massive slice of the electorate that runs on perpetual outrage and clouded thinking. They flip-flop from right to left based on whatever is dangling in front of them — whatever scares them most at the moment. Tucker is there to articulate their emotions and give them legitimacy. After all, if he gets clicked on a lot, they think, “I’m not the only one.” Now this:”Trump seeks unconditional surrender in Iran so that American troops can rape their women and girls”.

Why is he doubling down on the idiocy? Because he long ago passed the point of no return on his nonsense and the thinking audience left him. Plus, instant news sources and commentary on WhatsApp and X beat him to every story and crush him on viewership any day of the week, but the slower, perpetually outraged crowd — the ones who need to be told what the news is instead of actually reading primary sources themselves — will still come crawling back for their next fix. Tucker isn’t their commentator… he’s their dealer.
